BRYC (Barents Regional Youth Council), together with Nordland County Council and the Norwegian Barents Secretariat, is hosting an international youth event titled “Generation Barents”. This side event aims to create a platform for young people in the Barents region. We welcome students, members of youth councils and youth organizations, young entrepreneurs and other interested youth (in the age group 18 – 30) to network, discuss and develop awareness around building the future of the Barents Region.

Generation Barents QR codeParticipation includes admission to a full day seminar and lunch on April 21st, and a VIP evening program on the Norwegian Aviation Museum on April 20th, with live concert by Katarina Barruk, one of Sápmi’s most talented live artists. The young Bodø-band Pure Instinct will be her warm-up band.

Please note that there is a limited number of slots, so we encourage everyone to register as soon as possible. Generation Barents event is free of charge.

Generation Barents is a side event of the High North Dialogue Conference, which is an annual conference aiming to bring together major stakeholders in Arctic development. The purpose of the conference is to encourage and facilitate dialogue between stakeholders to promote sustainable development in the Arctic, as well as information sharing and discussion of best practice.

Generation Barents is hosted by Barents Regional Youth Council, The Norwegian Barents Secretariat and Nordland County Council. Our partners are Bodø2024, Regional Council of North Karelia region, Regional Council of Kainuu and Västerbotten County Administrative Board.
