“Arctic in a Global Perspective”, Bodø Norway
As a continuation of the spring 2012 conference, this study tour focused on the Arctic in a global perspective to enhance stakeholders’ understanding of resourece development in the High North. Several stakeholders were invited to provide perspectives of differents interests related to Arctic issues. These insights provide a platform for improved and constructive dialogue among stakeholders necessary for securing sustainable development in the Arctic from its various perspectives.
The 2013 agenda contained, among others, the following items:
Presentations focusing on the Arctic from different perspectives, e.g. geopolitical perspectives, of sustainable development of the High North, discussion on the North East-West Passage, issues related to Arctic climate and environment and its implications for people and their living conditions in the High North.
