Designed to promote dialogue, information exchange and research planning on the socio-economic issues, environmental considerations, challenges and benefits of oil and natural gas development in the Arctic region, including Alaska, Norway and Russia
72 people attended, including representatives from the fisheries, national, municipal and county officials, Norwegian and Alaska Natives, local industries, government officials, representatives from international energy companies, as well as 24 Russian & Norwegian students.
